Abstract
Background: Ureteral stones is a very common disease in the urinary system with high recurrence rate, so effective treatment of ureteral stones plays an important role. Objectives: The objective of this study was to evaluate of the treatment results of ureteroscopic lithotripsy with holmium laser for ureteral stones at Viet Yen medical center, from August 2022 to August 2024. Methods: A cross-sectional study design was used in our study. The convenience sampling method was applied to recruit 45 patients to participate in the study. Results: The average surgical time was 38.1 ± 16.6 minutes, intraoperative complications occurred in 8.9% of cases, the average hospital stay was 5.2 ± 2.1 days. Complications: 6.8% had renal colic and 2.2% had postoperative fever, caliectasis accounted for 88.9%, after surgery 0%. Good level accounted for 88.9% and moderate level accounted for 11.1%. Conclusions: ureteroscopic lithotripsy with holmium laser is a minimally invasive, safe, effective method with few complications and short recovery time, allowing patients to quickly return to daily life.
