Abstract
Background: Acne vulgaris is a common disease affecting individuals across various age groups, poses signifcant challenges in both its physical manifestations and its psychological impact. Objectives: This stufdy aimed to evaluate the efficacy of IPL therapy in the treatment of acne vulgaris at Dermatology Department of Thai Nguyen Univerisity of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Methods: Uncontrolled trial was conducted on 60 patients with mild to moderate acne vulgaris. Results: Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris was highly effective (good: 71.7%). Adverse reactions were generally mild. The majority of patients were satisfied with the results. Conclusions: This study demonstrates the effecicacy, safety benefit of IPL is a treatment for mild-to-moderate acne vulgaris. However, further study, ideally designed as ramdomize controlled a larger patient, is neccessary to determine the most effective therapy with minimal adverse events.
