Abstract
Background: In order to be safe and effective for COVID-19 vaccination, it is extremely necessary for medical workers to advise and properly manage the post-vaccination reaction. Objectives: To describe the knowledge, attitude, and practice towards adverse reactions followed by COVID-19 vaccination among health workers at Vo Nhai District Health Center in 2022. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 89 health workers who participated in the COVID-19 vaccination activities at Vo Nhai District Health Center from January to October 2022. Results: The proportion of health workers <40 years old and from 40-49 years old accounted for 49.5% and 34.8%. The proportion of female health workers was 64.0% while that of the ethnic minorities was 83.0%. The proportion of health workers with a good general knowledge level about managing adverse reactions from COVID-19 vaccination was 86.5% and that with a moderate level was 13.5%. The proportion of good general attitude level to the management of adverse reactions was 100.0%. The proportion with good general practice level in management of adverse reactions was 91.0%; while those with moderate level and weak level were 5.6% and 3.4%. Conclusions: The knowledge, attitude, and practice in the management of the adverse reactions from COVID-19 vaccination among health workers at Vo Nhai District Health Center were achieved at a high level.
