Abstract

Background: The current management of schizophrenic patients in Vietnam is not uniform across the country, but under the direct direction of the provincial mental hospitals. Not many studies have been conducted to describe the management of people with schizophrenia in the community. For this reason, we conducted this study. Object: Describe the current status of management and treatment of patients with schizophrenia in the community in Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province in 2022. Methods: Cross-sectional descriptive study combining qualitative and quantitative research. Qualitative and quantitative research is carried out simultaneously, where qualitative research is carried out to better explain the results of quantitative research. Result: The rate of A8/YTCS books at Commune health station with complete recorded of patient information is 73.4%; The rate of patient recorded with complete information is 74.1%; The most common error in recording medical records is duplication of disease progression (32.4%); wrong drug name (22.3%). Conclusion: Management of schizophrenia patients at Ky Anh district Commune health station has not been implemented well.
