Abstract
Background: Total hip replacement is one of the most successful treatments against aseptic necrosis of the femoral head and end-stage of osteochondrosis or severely damaged joint. Objectives: To evaluate the surgical results of cementless total hip arthroplasty at Thai Nguyen C Hospital. Methods: 59 total hip replacements performed patients in 2 years from January 2018 to May 2020, followed up after surgery 3 - months patients were the subjectvies of the study. Results: 78.0% were men, the mean age of patients was 58.2±12.2; 67.8% the right hip joint replacements. Time of patient hospitalization after surgery was 13.4±3.5 days. The postoperative complications: 44.1% of patients had bleeding after surgery, 10.2% of patients had wound infection, 3.4% hip dislocation, 3.4% loose shank, 1.7% periprosthetic fracture, 1.7% deviated. The Harris Hip score improved followup after three months: 50.8% excelent, 28.8% good. Conclusion: Total hip arthroplasty provided satisfactory postoperative results in these patients with Harris Hip score excelent/good 79.6%. Cementless total hip arthroplasty improved hip joint fuction in the patients.
