Objectives: To describe the real situation of factors relating to the management of COPD patients. Methods: The research methodology was descriptive study. The sample size was all 3884 COPD patients who had enough criteria for COPD diagnosis at chronic lung disease management unit (CMU) and Thai Nguyen Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital from 2016 to 2020. Results: Results of the study showed that the ratio of male to female patients was 3437/447 = 7.69. The average age was 67.40 ± 10.47. Patients at COPD management unit accounted for 92.61%. Newly detected patients were 7.39%. Good treatment results showed 93.85%. The overall mean of the treatment days was 12.73 ± 3.04. Conclusions: It is concluded from the study that having cardiovascular comorbidities, respiratory diseases and gastroesophageal reflux had negative impacts on the treatment of COPD.
