Abstract
Background: The prevention and control of hospital infections is always a top priority, including the knowledge and hand hygiene attitude of health workers. Objective: Describe the knowledge and routine handwashing attitudes of health workers at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital in 2023. Methods: Using cross-sectional descriptive research method on 90 health workers at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital. Results: The proportion of health workers with good knowledge of routine hand washing is 72.2%, average is 23.3% and weak is 4.4%. The proportion of health workers with good attitudes about regular hand washing is 82.2%; average attitude 17.8%. Conclusion: Good knowledge about routine hand washing is not high and there are still health workers with weak knowledge. The attitude of health workers is quite high.
