Abstract
Background: Medical examination and treatment activities are the core task of each hospital to improve people’s health. Objective: To evaluate the current status of medical examination and treatment activities at Thai Nguyen A hospital in 2022 - 2023. Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on all records, reports, and books stored about the medical examination and treatment results in 2022 - 2023 at Thai Nguyen A hospital. Results: The proportion of exceeding the target on the number of medical examinations in 2022 was 102.3% and in 2023 was 108.1%. The proportion of exceeding the target for the number of inpatients in 2022 was 110.2% and in 2023 was 126.0%. The bed occupancy rate in 2022 was 90.2% and in 2023 was 102.5%. The proportion of exceeding the target for the number of ultrasounds in 2022 was 138.8% and in 2023 was 185.5%. The proportion of exceeding the target for the number of X-rays in 2022 was 133.4% and in 2023 was 134.6%. The proportion of exceeding the target for the total number of surgeries in 2022 was 105.7% and in 2023 was 122.7%. The proportion of patients with health insurance who were transferred from other hospitals in 2023 increased by 118.2%. The proportion of inpatients with health insurance cards in 2023 increased by 116.6%. The proportion of technical implementation according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health was 59.6%. Conclusion: Medical examination and treatment activities at Thai Nguyen A Hospital in 2022 - 2023 are achieved high results.
