Abstract
Background: In Cao Bang province in 2015, the Steering Committee for Tobacco Harm Prevention was established and issued a plan to implement tobacco harm prevention activities in the province. Objective: To evaluate the implementation of the Law on Tobacco Harms Prevention among health workers in Cao Bang province in 2021. Methods: Cross-sectional mixed method study. Results: The health authorities and health workers have strictly complied with the law on tobacco harm prevention. Among the participants, 62.1% did not smoke, 28.4% smoked occasionally, and only 8.0% smoked daily. About 47.8% had quit over 12 months and 90.2% had a good performance of no smoking in all rooms. Recommendations: Continue to implement the Law on Tobacco Harms Prevention to all health workers so that they can not only have good behavior but also be active propagandists for the people and the community. The organization has attached the “Smoke- Free Hospital” accreditation signboard, inspecting and supervising the construction of “Smoke-free medical facility environment”.
